However, through this experience, we consistently observed a critical gap in the market. We saw that small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) were often excluded from the benefits of a truly integrated system. While their passion and innovation were high, their growth was frequently stalled by operational inefficiencies and a lack of organizational structure—the very problems that ERP systems are designed to solve. The prohibitive cost and rigidity of traditional enterprise software made it inaccessible to them.
We understood that this lack of scalable systems was a primary reason many promising companies struggled to survive beyond their first five years.
A Strategic Shift in Focus
In 2018, our research into more accessible technologies led us to Odoo, a platform that fundamentally changed our perspective. We analyzed its flexible, modular architecture and identified that it could address 80-85% of an SMB's operational needs out-of-the-box. It offered the power of an integrated system without the immense financial barrier to entry.
This discovery prompted a strategic pivot for our company. We decided to leverage our deep experience with complex ERPs and apply it to a market where we could have a more foundational impact. We shifted our focus from servicing established corporations to empowering the next generation of industry leaders.
